Membership

Welcome! We are thrilled you are interested in joining our club. We are dedicated to empowering Republican women of all ages and backgrounds. We are working to affect crucial issues in our local communities, state and nation. Along the way, we also learn a lot while building fabulous relationships. The Essex County NJ Republican Women is a local affiliate of the NJ Federation of Republican Women (NJFRW). Becoming a part of our club, you automatically become a member of both the NJFRW and the National Federation of Republican Women.

Why should you join?

Make your voice stronger in the issues important to women.
Members support the integrity of the U.S. Constitution, participate in educational programming, and support the candidacies of Republicans for elective office.
Become educated and stay informed on issues through our programs, lectures and newsletters.
A full list of benefits are on the NFRW website, but one of the best rewards not on that list: experiencing the camaraderie and support of local colleagues.

Different Levels of Club Membership

Primary Member

Registered Republican women from who support the objectives of this organization. While one can be a member of other Republican Women clubs, you must choose which chapter in which to be a Primary member, and it is only there that you can hold office, vote, etc. Proof of residency may be requested.

Associate Member

Registered Republican Primary Member of another Federation Republican Women’s club or a registered Republican man. Membership is held in local club only; cannot vote, hold office, make motions, or be counted for determining delegates to state or national federation meetings or conventions.

Young Republican

Any registered Republican woman in Essex County under 25 years of age. Membership in local club only; cannot vote, hold office, make motions, or be counted for determining delegates. Renewal offered at the same fee as other members in the year when they turn 25.

Not yet registered as a Republican?

At least 55 days before an election, use the Party Affiliation Form
to print out, complete and snail mail it off to: Superintendent of Elections

Alternatively, you can also file it in person by dropping it off there in Newark
OR at your town clerk's office.

Pay by check:

Print out and complete the Membership Application and submit payment of $50 for an annual membership (Primary or Associate Members) or $15 for Young Republicans.

Our year runs from January 1 to December 31 of each year. You may hand it in at the door to one of our events or drop it in the mail to:
Essex County NJ Republican Women ECNJRW, P.O. Box 16, Cedar Grove, NJ 07009. Please make checks payable to: ECNJRW.

Note: We don't prorate our membership dues by the month you join, so one paid year of membership runs Jan 1 to Dec 31. For example, if you join January - October of 2024, you pay $50 for the rest of 2024. If you join in November or December, then you get those two months PLUS the following whole year of membership.
